Eighth (and last! D; )Week 24th May - 30th May

Hi all for the last time, as I'm afraid this blog is coming to an end. With our whole project done, and the deadline reached, this part of the Satlab project has come to an end.
This two months have been awesome, as they have been a great learning experience that I'm sure I'll never forget. I feel really satisfied with the whole project and I think we did a nice job as a team. In fact, apart from learning about many new things, another great part of Satlab was to be in touch with three american people of same age and interest, an interest for science and space that has increased thanks to this iniciative.
Now, I look forward to know who the winners of the contest are. For me, being able to go to the KSC in Florida would be the most incredible experience in my life but even if our team is not the best, I still say goodbye to you with a smile on my face, as I know we did our best and these learnings will be with me for the rest of my life.

Seventh Week 17th May - 23rd May

I am happy to announce that our part is complete! After working so hard these days we finally finished it. It just needs polishing and some mistake correcting, but there's still one more week and the hard part is gone. Now we are devoting our time in helping the other members of Echo Team that may need help and I am improving the last parts of our common web page.

Sixth Week 10th May - 16th May

Hi again! Finally, the we were able to go to the MDSCC (Madrid's Deep Space Comunications Complex). There, apart from walking around the area, we watched two videos that explained us everything about the complex and we were given a room in which we did our meeting. Overall it was a very interesting experience.
In the formal meeting there, our instructor gave us aid in our specific tasks inside the whole project.
The rest of the week consisted on exchange of ideas and talking between continents. We did another videocoference too and after this we are ready to start writing our project.
My partner Lynetta and I will personally write about the description and functioning of hardware used in our experiment, and we have also been researching in this, (looking for information and useful links) so that we are prepared enough to write our part.
At the moment only we have only done a basic summary, but next week we expect to have it complete. Anyway, it's been a quite big step forward, as there's only one step left to finish :)

Fifth Week 3rd May - 9th May

A new and useful week is over! This one has been exciting since we have done our first full-group meeting through teleconference. It was amazing to be talking face to face despite de enormous distances. As usual, we had a meeting in Madrid and told us we would be going to the MDSCC! It sounds really good.
After the meeting with our american partners, which was a success, I wrote an email to all the group managing the distribution of work and making sure everyone had no questions on how to work.
I also make the final arrangements on the wiki so that we could all start working on the project.

Fourth Week 26th April - 2nd May

This week has been a very succesful one, clearly a turning point in the situation. We have been devoloping our project a lot in Madrid meeting and, most important, we have new american partners that now are working with us! It's great we can finally share this working together experience. We now know each other and we will start working in pairs.
Also, I have been designing much of the official web page, with much of it's components, such as final definition of the project, front page, and new reports of the group, as well as managing the distribution of work among the six members of the Echo Team.
Much work has been done, but still more is to come!
